During the meeting the details of collaboration was fixed. The responsibility frame was established with description who is responsible for what. The technical tour to Balcova Geothermal Plant was organized to demonstrate status of geothermal water management. After the kick-off meeting, its participants attended the International Workshop at Ege Univertisty ‘Lithium and boron recovery from geothermal water’ where they presented following lectures: Utilization of geothermal water for direct heating, balneological and recreation purposes in Poland, Hybrid capacitive deionization in recovery of lithium from geothermal water, Ion exchange membranes for blue energy, Numerical modelling of geothermal systems, Integration of RO and EDI methods for geothermal water purification. The workshop was attended by 60 people from Ege University, Kitakyushu University, Kumamoto University, Izmir Institute of High Technology, Istanbul Universuty of Technology, Prague University of Chemistry and Technology, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and from Balcova Geothermal Field.
